I have seen Dom - Male and Domme - Female in writing, etc. but never heard them pronounced. Is the pronunciation the same or? |

So I will be the first to admit that I know next to nothing about Supernatural. Never got into it really.
However, someone has written a SGA/SPN crossover that I started reading (McShep of course) so I just gotta ask...
Did Dean really die/get sent to hell and torture souls while he was there?

I just spent a week in Iowa with my beyond bigoted mother and father in-law. It was mexicans this and blacks (not the word used) that and ragheads this. (He didn't even get to homosexuals 'cause he was too busy with race so that is a minor blessing at least.)
I usually just bite my tongue because they bicker about most everything and nothing will change them at this point but I reached my limit after three days. I said "Just as a favor to me could we have at least one day without bigoted comments please?" Not only is it stupid, hateful and just plain annoying, my son was with us and even though most of the time when we were in the car (when most of the comments occured) he had his headphones on playing a game - I know he hears everything! I just don't want him around that shit if I can help it.
So of course, he just kept on saying whatever it was, so I did something equally childish and plugged my ears and started going "la, la, la" and it finally shut him up. I really didn't hear many more comments for the rest of the trip either.
So I guess I can't effect their thinking or behavior on other levels with regards to me and my family but at least I didn't have to hear the racist crap every five minutes like I had been. |

Soooo. I guess I am lucky 'cause when Joy started her period last week I was pretty sure I wouldn't be far behind and I was on a trip to Iowa until today.
No period on vacation but I just got back home and was unpacking when I felt something "leaking" when I bent over. Was worried I was developing an incontenence problem but when I went to the bathroom - oops!!!
I think it's been years since I haven't known that my period was starting. No cramps which is weird (and that was not a complaint!) and I put the water retention down to travelling so I feel a little stupid! |

I had an epiphany tonight when I was talking to my father. (He's the one who is so conservative he bleeds Republican). He was talking about "all this news about the tortures/interrogations" and was DEFENDING IT.
And it was then when I figured it out. It's the old ends and means thing. What all these people are telling us (and unfortunately teaching to our children) is that the ends justify the means. Because we got "good information" it's ok that we act as badly as our enemies.
I had a flash to Daniel in "The Other Side" where he says, "It's the right way to gain their technology but is it the right thing to do?" |

But my last happy day is definitely the best... got a fantastic relaxation massage today (supposed to be 1 1/2 hours but it went for 2. She said she got "lost" in my neck)!
